Anthony Phillip Lucas, 81, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, July 5, 2013. He was born October 12, 1931 in Phillipsburg, NJ; son of the late Phillip and Grace (Lawler) Lucas. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Luke retired from the City of Bethlehem where he worked in the Tax Dept. Earlier in life, Luke acted in multiple plays on Broadway, most notably South Pacific, Oklahoma and Annie Get Your gun. He also worked as a model for clothing and print ads, including Coca-Cola, Marlboro and Budwiser.
He will be dearly missed by his niece, Phyllis Palos and nephews, David and Scott Shiner as well as his extended family and friends. Luke was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Shiner and his brother, Phillip Lucas.
Family and friends are invited to The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 9-10:30 AM with a memorial service to immediately follow at 10:30 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675.
