Anthony Urban

Anthony Urban, Jr. 88, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, March 15, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospice House. He was born in Nanticoke, PA, the son of the late Anthony, Sr. and Sophie (Rush) Urban. He was the loving husband of Gloria (Bertoni) Urban. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this past September.

Anthony worked for Bethlehem Steel as a chemist and metallurgist. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a parishioner of St. Ursula's Catholic Church in Fountain Hill.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gloria; son, Steven Urban and his wife, Cheryl; daughters, Christine, wife of David Ellis; Catherine, wife of Gary Fondl; Danielle, wife of Mark Haklar; sisters, Louise Keller and Florence Rydziewski; his nine grandchildren, Peter, Elizabeth, Abigail, Sophia, Evan, Jacob, Aidan, Nicolas and Kierra; and his great-grandson, Peter. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Urban and two brothers, Eugene and Henry Urban.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Ursula's Catholic Church, 1300 Broadway, Bethlehem. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
