Arnold Wagstaff

July 2, 1933 — January 29, 2009

Arnold A. Wagstaff, 75, of Ironton, died on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at L. V. Hospital.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Arnold and Edith Peterson Wagstaff.

Arnold is survived by his wife Georgene A. Kospiah Heft-Wagstaff, of Ironton.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Arnold retired from the Bethlehem Steel Co. after 30 years of service as an Auditor of Medical Claims.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Georgene; children, Scott of Allentown; Debbie of Hudson, OH; Mark of Palmerton; Penny of Allentown and his stepson Norm of Palmerton.

Arnold is also survived by his sisters, June and Viola both of Florida; his brothers, Jerry of Port Henry, NY and Richie of Farmingville, NY and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Schmidt Wagstaff; his son Arnold "Skippy" Wagstaff and his brothers, Billy and Larry.

Arnold enjoyed gardening, traveling, hosting wine and cheese parties and especially loved spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 2, 2009 from 10-11 AM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem with a ceremony to celebrate Arnold's life to immediately follow at 11AM in the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
