Arthur C. Slaski

Arthur C. Slaski, 102, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2013. Born in Passaic, NJ; he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Lorenz) Slaski. He was the loving husband of the late Mary (Bachik) Slaski who died in 2006. They were married 67 years.

Arthur was employed by the Bethlehem Steel for 37 years; he began as a carpenter and retired as superintendent of the General Services Dept. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, an avid bowler, golfer and talented photographer.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Barbara, wife of the late James Baione of Salisbury, MD; grandsons, James & wife, Colleen, Thomas & wife, Diane and Joseph & wife, Paige; great grandchildren, Linsey, Hunter, Kyle, Scott, Alexis, Stephen and Kandy; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many loving nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Eugene, Gottlib, Joseph and Peter; sisters, Matilda and Mary; and grandson, Kevin.

Viewing hours will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, on Sunday, December 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Monday from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. with Panachida beginning at 9 a.m. A 10 a.m. Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will follow at Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 1140 Johnston Dr. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown.
