Aurea B. Carregal

Aurea B. Carregal, 82, of Bethlehem passed away on Friday July 1, 2016 at St. Lukes Hospice House; she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 13, 1933 in Bethlehem, daughter of the late Michael and Alba (Comoglio) Beckage. Aurea lived a full and accomplished life. She worked in the accounting department at Bethlehem Steel until becoming a full time mother. She was involved in the Junior Womens Club, CYO at Notre Dame School, and Treasurer of Northwest Little League. Aurea then returned to the work force at Western Electric. In her later years she supported St. Bernards and BFVHA.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joseph Carregal, sons, Joseph and Robert, daughters, Nancy and Christina, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister, Kathie Smyser, and brother, Raymond Beckage.

A prayer service will be held at 9:15am Friday July 8, 2016 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10am at Notre Dame Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, Pa. A viewing will be held from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 480, Columbia, MD 21044.
