Austin Kurisco

September 13, 1933 — July 13, 2008

Austin Kurisco, 75, of Allentown, died on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was married to his wife of 52 years, Nancy Andrashko Kurisco of Allentown.

Austin was born in Bethlehem the son of the late Stephen and Mary Ference Kurisco.

He was a 1952 graduate of Liberty High School, excelling in football and achieving a State Championship in Gymnastics. Austin was a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Bethlehem. He retired from the Bethlehem Steel Co. after 39 years of service. Austin was a lifetime member of the West Side Republican Club.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, sons, Austin of Bethlehem; David of Allentown; and daughters, Cynthia wife of James Antonioli of Bangor and Jody wife of Joseph Samu of Fountain Hill. Austin is also survived by his eight grandchildren George, Adam, Marc, Megan, Jennifer, Julie, Joanna, and Austin and his great granddaughter Victoria.

Austin was preceded in death by his brother Joseph and his sisters Irene, Eleanor, and Martha.

The family will receive friends at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Thursday July 17, 2008 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM.

Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church 980 Bridle Path Rd Bethlehem, PA 18017 on Thursday July 17, 2008 at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
