Barbara A. Hedden

Barbara A. Hedden, 62, of Hanover Township, died Thursday, January 10, 2008 in the Hospice of St. Lukes, Lower Saucon Township. She was born November 2, 1945 in Allentown, the daughter of the late Irving and Mamie Geiger Becker. She was the loving wife of James A. Hedden. They celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary July 17.

Barbara was a medical transcriptionist for Orthopedics Associates, Bethlehem, for many years. She enjoyed knitting, reading and traveling. She was a member of the Allentown Corvette Club, but her greatest joy in life was her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors: Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband, James; her children, Patti Sassaman of Whitehall, Sherri, wife of Tony Marino, of Bethlehem, Craig Hedden and his wife, Melissa, of Bethlehem, Jill, wife of Chris Post, of Northampton; her brother, Irving Becker and his wife, Sandy, of Parkland; six grandchildren.

Services: A funeral service will be held, Saturday, January 12, 2007 at 1 p.m. in Connell Funeral Home Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
