Barbara F. Peabody

Barbara F. Peabody, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018. She was born on January 23, 1931 in Pottstown, PA, daughter of the late C. Leonard and Muriel (Sutcliffe) Fisher. She retired in 1982 after 30 years of service in the Labor Relations Division of the Bethlehem Steel.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Peabody and her sister, Mary Jane Fisher. She is survived by: daughter, Beth Smith and husband Powers of Lexington, NC; son, John E. Peabody of Bethlehem; grandchildren, David (Joanna), Ben (Ashley) and Becky; and great-grandchildren, Anna, Asia and Lily on the way. She is also survived by her many cherished friends.

A 10 a.m. funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the Christ United Church of Christ, 5050 Airport Rd, Allentown. The burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animals In Distress or the Christ United Church of Christ.
