Barbara Locher

Barbara Ann Rose Locher, 68, of Bath, died after a courageous 10 year battle with Thyroid Cancer, on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at her residence. She was born May 28, 1944 in Allentown; daughter of the late Joseph D. and Frances B. D'Agostino.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Edward Waitkaits; son, Mark Locher; daughters, Sharon McGarr and her husband Michael and Carisa Locher as well as her sister, Frances Roseman; her brothers, Joel, Stanley and Paul D'Agostino and her three grandchildren.

Barbara had wonderful energy, a great work ethic and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed caring for babies and the elderly while working for Daycare in the Park and as an Aide for Country Meadows. She enjoyed working outside in the garden, crocheting, Cape Hatteras, cooking and baking. She will most fondly be remembered for her kind spirit, positive outlook and giving nature. She truly would put others needs before her own. Barbara was most proud of being the mother of her three children.

A Visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 6-8 PM and again on Thursday from 9-10:15AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM on Thursday at Holy Family Parish, 23 Forest Dr. Nazareth, PA 18064. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA
