Barbara Louise Kopinga

Barbara Louise Kopinga, 59, of Bethlehem Twp., died on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at St.Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill. She was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late George A. and Anna Tirpak Panko. She is the loving wife of Stephen Kopinga. They celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary this past May.

Barbara was a 1968 graduate of Liberty High School. In 1971, she graduated from Albert Einstein School of Nursing. She worked at Albert Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, St. Luke's Hospital and Muhlenberg Medical Center in Bethlehem for many years.

Survivors: Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Stephen Kopinga, of Bethlehem Twp.; sister, Patricia A., wife of Ron Stowe of Alabama; brother, Mark A. Panko & his wife, Linda, of Bethlehem; niece, Elisabeth Stowe & her husband, Aaron TenHarmsel, nephews, Timothy Stowe, Justin Panko & his wife, Stephanie, & Brandon Panko. Barbara will also be sadly missed by her faithful canine companion and rescued greyhound, Shaman.

Services: A Graveside Service will be held, Saturday, October 31st at 3 p.m. at Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 1700 Airport Rd. Allentown, PA 18109. Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem.
