Basil Piripavel

Basil Piripavel, 90, of Bethlehem, PA died Friday, December 18, 2015. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Anna (Boldizar) and Michael Piripavel. He was married to Mary (Prestosh) Piripavel with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage this past August 12th.

Basil worked as a structural Draftsman for the Bethlehem Steel. He was a graduate of the Bethlehem Technical High School. Basil served his country in US Navy during WWII on the Destroyer USS Meredith DD726 which was sunk during the invasion of Normandy. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary, daughter, Diane wife of Joe Reese, and son, William G. Piripavel and wife Cynthia. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael and George Piripavel and sisters, Anna Hebor, Helen Alfonso, Margaret Kospiah, Mary Piripavel and Julia Pekar.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
