Benjamin F. Didonato

Benjamin F. DiDonato, 82, of Bethlehem, PA, died Monday, October 5, 2015. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Antonio and Domenica (DeCarlo) DiDonato. He was the loving husband of Anne S. ( Fehnel) DiDonato. They were married 33 years.

Benjamin retired from the U.S. Air Force after 25 years of service, rising to the top enlisted rank of chief master sergeant. During his military career he served in two combat tours during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the MORA Club and the American Legion in Fountain Hill. He was a parishioner of St. Stephens Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Benjamin will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Anne; daughters, Diane Schroeder wife of Robert and Annamarie Zeky wife of William; sons, James Michael DiDonato, Mark Anthony DiDonato husband of Enid, Dominic Romano husband of Sue and Ralph Romano husband of Lisa; sister, Rose Marie Fertal wife of George; sister-in-law, Ethel DiDonato; 15 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Carl DiDonato and sisters, Rita Ann Rich, a toddler Antionette DiDonato, and an infant Antionette DiDonato.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at St. Stephens Evangelical Lutheran Church 67 W. Washington Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 10-11 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11 AM. Burial with full military honors will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
