Benjamin I. Perez

Benjamin I. Perez, 49, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at home, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born on January 22, 1973, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he was the son of Angel Maria Fragoso Alcantara and Berta Sterling Perez Guzman.

Ben worked for the Diocese of Allentown as a groundskeeper for Holy Saviour and Resurrection Cemeteries.

Outside of work, he was a dedicated family man who enjoyed time with his children and wifehe loved cooking for them, as well as traveling with them to the Poconos. Ben was known as a happy and funny person who often uplifted others by his presence.

In addition to his parents, he will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Glenys Plata-Guillen; two daughters: Daikiry and Fior Perez; and one son: Iban Perez.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 9:00am until the time of the funeral service at 10:00am at Iglesia Esperanza for Bethlehem Moravian Church, 1238 East 4th Street, Bethlehem, PA, 18015.

Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Linden Street, Bethlehem.

Arrangements are under the care of Connell Funeral Home, Inc., Bethlehem.
