Bernadette J. Miksiewicz

Bernadette "Betty" J. Miksiewicz, 81, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Moravian Village in Bethlehem. She was born on March 2, 1930 in Elizabeth, New Jersey; daughter of the late Laurence and Victoria Krawczyk. She was the wife and best friend of the late Leon J. Miksiewicz who passed away in Sept. 2008. She met her husband while singing in the church choir, and they were married for 57 years. They enjoyed spending time together and traveling the world.

Betty was a devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Bethlehem. She was very devoted to her family. She was also an avid fan of Lehigh and Moravian athletics.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Carol M. Keenan and husband Vincent of Phoenix, AZ; sons, Lawrence J. Miksiewicz and wife Jami of Allentown; and Ronald L. Miksiewicz and fiance Michele Timochenko of Sinking Spring, PA; and grandchildren, Tory, Emily, Jackie, Elizabeth, Tim, Dan, Colin, Katelyn, Matthew, and Jennifer.

She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Schlapak

Services will be held 11:15 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020.

A viewing will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
