Bernadine C. Bednar

Bernadine C. “Bernie” Bednar, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Holy Family Manor. Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Sabota) Kuruc and wife of the late Kenneth Bednar.

Before retiring in 1987, Bernie worked for Western Electric for 32 years. She was a lifetime member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish and a member of Slovak Catholic Sokols and First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assoc.

Survivors: son, Stephen and wife, Mary Ann of Bethlehem; grandsons, Dan of Dallas, TX and Dave and wife, Jamie of Bethlehem; and her great grandchildren, Reagan and Parker. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia; brothers, Joseph and Andrew; and sisters, Agnes and Margaret.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, from 12 to 1 p.m. in the St. Ann Chapel at Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring St., Bethlehem, 18018. A 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow, in the chapel, with burial at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
