Bertine H. Withka

Bertine H. Emmett Withka passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 at Saucon Valley Manor in Hellertown. Born August 17, 1920 in Carbondale, PA she was the daughter of Sara Baldwin and Floyd Emmett. She was married to the late Walter Withka.

Bertine was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Thomas Withka and wife Mary, daughters, Judith Santiago, Eileen Withka wife of Dan Danberry and Diane wife of Mike Kvarta, sister, Velma Hornbeck, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by many dear friends at Saucon Valley Manor especially her friend, Mildred "Millie" Smoyer.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 4-6 PM. A calling period will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 from 10:30-11:30 AM in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 12 PM. Burial will be at Our Mother of Sorrows, in Carbondale, PA.
