Betty Jane Rappe

Betty Jane Rappe, 80, of Bethlehem, died Saturday September 3, 2011 at Manor Care II Health Services in Bethlehem, Pa. Born in Hazelton, she was the daughter of Roland and Helen Kerchner. She was the wife of Clarence E. Rappe, Sr. They celebrated 63 years of marriage on April 24th, 2011. Betty was devoted to her family and enjoyed baking, sewing, and ceramics.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, sons, Roland Rappe of Bath, Pa. and Clarence Rappe Jr. of State College, Pa., daughters, Mary Lou Horning of Bethlehem, and Shirley Ann Kratzer of Quakertown, brothers, Charles and John Kerchner both of Freemansburg, sisters, Katherine Michalochik, and Bernie Dougherty both of Freemansburg, Patsy Keim, Mary Erceg, and Nancy Repp all of Bethlehem, and Anna May Mackaravitz of Georgia, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Her brother Roland Kerchner Jr. died on the same day, September 3, 2011.

She was predeceased by 1 brother, and 3 sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held 8PM Tuesday September 6, 2011 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. A viewing will be from 6-8PM prior to the service.
