Betty June Hutson Spatig

December 13, 1924 — July 10, 2021

Betty June Hutson Spatig, 96, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Traditions of Hanover in Bethlehem. She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the daughter of the late George and Ella (Hales) Hutson. She was the wife of the late William Spatig. Betty was the former Director of Volunteers for Meals on Wheels of Bethlehem. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bethlehem, where she was a Sunday school teacher, and sang on the church choir. She was a member of the Mission Society, Hospitality Committee for special events, member of the Money Counting Team, past president of the American Baptist Women Reading Association, and treasurer for the American Baptist Women in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, John Spatig (Susan) of Bethlehem, David Spatig (Donna) of Wexford, PA, and their children Meredith, Jonathan and Kimberly Watson, daughter, Pamela Hollis (Ron) of Hartsel, CO, grandsons, John Spatig Jr. (Melanie) of Bethlehem, Andrew (Jordan) of Nazareth, great grandchildren, Grace, Emma and Kahlan Spatig. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jack Hutson and George Hutson Jr., sisters, Juanita Willmore, Bennye Thomas, Martha Wright, and Mary Ella Crews, 3 nephews, and 3 great nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held 10-11am Friday July 16, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, 3235 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18017 followed by a funeral service at 11am. Interment will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 3235 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18017.
