Betty Lou Delgrosso

In the early morning hours on Tuesday, December 9th, Betty Lou Conkling DelGrosso of South Bethlehem, peacefully transitioned to Heaven. She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Anthony DelGrosso, their son David DelGrosso and wife, Lisa of Kunkletown; daughter, Michele Bryant and husband, Rodney of Austin, TX; son, John DelGrosso of Allentown; daughters, Toni Ann (Itsy) DelGrosso - Sweeney of Saylorsburg; and Patti DelGrosso of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Austyn DelGrosso of Bethlehem; Joshua Smith and Jaymee Gonzales of Austin, TX; her brother, Judson Hackett III and family of Louisiana; dear family friend, Fritz Schumacher; adopted son, Kevin Chee, his wife Sophia, children, Sara and Cody. She is preceded in death by her son Rusty Joe Conkling.

She was born in Mt. Kipp, NJ on January 18, 1934 to Florence Hackett. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School where she was a majorette and played the drums in the band. She worked for many years as a waitress in various restaurants, mostly the Peke Inn in Phillipsburg for 24 years. Later, she worked running the Lotto machine at Pat's Newsstand. She enjoyed watching football, and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Visitation will be Sunday night, December 14th at The Connell Funeral Home, from 6 to 8 pm and again on Monday December 15th from 9:30 to 10 am followed by a service Monday, at 10 am in the funeral home. Interment will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Phillipsburg NJ.
