Betty Morris

Betty Morris, 92, of Bethlehem, PA, died quietly and peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2014, at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Yenca) Holva. She was the devoted wife of the late Edward T. Morris, Sr. Betty worked for the Purse Factory, Chickadee and in the cafeteria at Bethlehem Steel. She was an avid bingo player and loved to play pinochle with her sisters and brothers. Baking kiffles was one of her favorite things to do. She was a lifetime parishioner of Incarnation of our Lord Parish in Bethlehem.

Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children, Edward T. Morris, Jr. and wife, Debra, David Morris, Nancy Walsh and husband, Richard, all of Bethlehem, and Joseph Morris and companion, Marschia Gardner of Chesterfield, NJ; grandson, Edward F. Morris; step-granddaughters Joy Simonis and Devan Ward; step-great grandchildren Emma, Dylan and Logan; and her sister, Margaret Kolesnik. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Hasenecz, Mary Moser, Sophie Ruggiero, Irene Zweifel and Ann Vasko; brothers, Stephen, Francis and Michael Holva.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorials may be made to the church or the VNA of St. Lukes Hospice, Attn: Development Office, 801 Ostrum St., Bethlehem, PA 18015.
