Betty Z. Kropinicki, 84, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday May 18, 2011. Born in Bethlehem on March 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes Dzierlat Zawadski. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward R. Kropinicki.
She was employed by the Bethlehem Area School District working as a secretary at both Lincoln and Marvine Elementary schools. She served under five different principals and retired in 1988. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem, and a gifted crafter of needlepoint. It was her personal mission to send cards to family and friends for every occasion.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Edward of Bethlehem; daughters, Karen wife of Craig Collins of San Antonio, TX, and Kathleen wife of Michael Grube of Wind Gap; sister, Sr. Bronisia of Watchung, NJ; grandsons, Nathan Grube and wife Margaret of Wind Gap, Adam Grube and fiance Morgan Kirk of Wind Gap, and Matthew Collins of San Antonio, TX; great grandson, Frederick M. Grube. She was preceded in death by seven siblings.
Viewing hours will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, on Tuesday May 24th from 7 to 9 p.m. A viewing hour will be held in the church on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, 18020. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
