Bob Kauffman

Robert V. Kauffman, 73, of Bethlehem Township died Thursday May 18, 2006 at the Hospice of The VNA of St. Luke?s, Lower Saucon Twp. Born, June 30, 1932 in Bethlehem; he was the son of the late Emil and Mary Madl Kauffman. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pat R. Takacs Kauffman.

Bob was employed by the Bethlehem Steel as the administrative assistant in the General Managers Plant Office for 44 years, and most recently employed part time by Connell Funeral Home. He was a veteran of the Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of: Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Bethlehem, Fellowship Bowling League, Heights AA, Holy Ghost Prime Time Seniors, and a lifetime member of the Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Co.

He will be lovingly remembered by: wife, Pat of Bethlehem Twp; sons, Kevin husband of Deirdre of Southbury, CT and Robert husband of Karen of Golden, CO; grandchildren; Karen, Kevin, Katie and Jordan; brother, Emil of Bethlehem. He was preceded in death by: sister, Marie Henritzy; brother, Vincent.

Arrangements are being handled by Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St; Bethlehem where calling hours will be held on Sunday May 21st from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday May 22nd from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home on Monday and will be followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1st St; Bethlehem Twp. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery of Bethlehem.
