Boris Stoiancheff, 88, of Allentown passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Twp. He was born in Steelton, PA, son of the late George and Constance (Taleff) Stoiancheff. He was the husband of Vera (Stojkovska) Stoiancheff. They celebrated 57 years of marriage in August 2017. Boris was a Civil and Structural Engineer for Bethlehem Steel and also the US Army Corps of Engineers in Philadelphia. He graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and received his M.S. in Structural Engineering from Lehigh University. He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Boris was a member of St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church since 1960 and was very active in the church. He was the past president of the Federated Russian Orthodox Club and a member of the Bethlehem Jaycees. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Vera; daughters, Belinda and Maria; and brother-in-law and sister, William and Mildred Trayer.
A viewing will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St, Bethlehem, PA 18018 and also on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 10-11am at St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 980 Bridle Path Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18017 followed by a funeral service at 11am. Burial will be held at Hellertown Union Cemetery.
