Bruce Hurlburt

Bruce Hurlburt, 74, of Hellertown, PA passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at The Villages Hospice House in The Villages, FL. Born October 14, 1935 in Queens, New York he was the son of the late Dorothy Lynch and Herbert Hurlburt. He was married to Jean Berding Hurlburt.

Bruce worked for Cigna Insurance Company for 30 years. He was a member at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem Township, PA and St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in The Villages, FL. Bruce had a passion for running, he ran in 69 marathons. He was also a very giving man volunteering much of his time for several causes such as, Hospice Centers, Homeless Shelters, Parish Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, AIDS Centers, Etc.

Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 53 years, Jean of Hellertown, children, Karen wife of Duncan Bell of Bethlehem, PA, Donna wife of Jay Davis of Marlton, NJ, Bruce Hurlburt of Hellertown, PA, Mark Hurlburt and wife Sheri of Jackson, NJ, John Hurlburt and wife Sharon of Hellertown, PA, Kathy wife of Jeff Gluck of Freehold, NJ, Paul Hurlburt of Lady Lake, FL, Jeanne wife of John Veres of South River, NJ, Jennifer wife of Robert Hoffam of Nazareth, PA, Andrew Hurlburt of Lady Lake, FL, sister, Virginia Schnetzer The Villages, FL and brother, Warren Hurlburt of The Villages, FL. He will also be remembered by his 19 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, James Hurlburt and brother, Herbert Gordon Hurlburt.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 1-4 PM and 6-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at O.L.P.H. 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA
