Burton C. Deichman

January 5, 1934 — September 5, 2008

Burton C. Deichman, 74, of Bethlehem, died Friday, September 5, 2008 at Hospice House of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Esther V. Danner Deichman. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia L. Santo Deichman who died this past June 15th.

Mr. Deichman began his automotive career as a mechanic at Hauser Chevrolet in Bethlehem. He than worked in sales and management for the former Gorham Chevrolet now Deichman/Walker Chevrolet which he owned and operated for 33 years.

Away from his business, Burton had loved to spend time with his family at his cabin in the mountains. He was an avid golfer, hunter and bowler and enjoyed playing pinnacle and most recently sport shooting.

He served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Charles W. Deichman, II & his wife Karen, daughters, Rhonda L., wife of Glenn Fenicle, Jr. and Valerie A. Laponuke and his six grandchildren all of Bethlehem. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Deichman and two sisters, Marjorie Minnich and Bernice Finkbiner.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020. Visitation will be Monday, from 6-9 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour, Bethlehem.
