Paul Lehotsky, 96, of Bethlehem, died Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Country Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bethlehem Township. Born in Throop, PA, he was the son of Steven and Helen (Zilla) Lehotsky. He was married to Florence A. (Neubauer) for 63 years until her death on March 4, 2011.
Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. After his time in the Navy, he returned home to Pennsylvania and worked for a time at Buck Hill Inn, Buck Hill Falls, PA where he met his future wife, Florence. During the early years after his Navy service, he attended Keystone College in La Plume, PA. After Keystone College, Paul started work as a Sales Manager for Jewel Tea Company, Inc. In this capacity, he and Flo lived in Pennsylvania, Texas, North Carolina, and Illinois. While in Illinois he attended Southern Illinois University. After a long career with Jewel Tea, he became a Territory Sales Manager with Craft Oil Corporation in Avoca, Pennsylvania.
Paul was a lifelong Democrat, serving in the PA State Committee in the mid 1970's. Additionally, he pursued several state offices including PA State Representative. When he had spare time, he enjoyed bowling and coin collecting.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Paula (Lehotsky) Kendrick, wife of James, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado. His son, Bob Lehotsky of Bethlehem, PA, and a grandson, Christopher Kendrick and fiancée, Renee Schmollinger, both of Huntington Valley, PA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018, at 11 AM. A burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
