Camilla Caryl Philippi

Camilla Caryl Philippi, 63, passed away peacefully in her home on August 23, 2021, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on July 11, 1958 in Ambler, PA; the daughter of Richard E. Bertsch and Audrey (Hofschild) Bertsch. Camilla grew up in Palmer Township and graduated from Easton High School, Class of 1976. She met and married her sweetheart, Richard S. Philippi Jr., and they settled in Allentown, PA. Together, they had 3 daughters, and celebrated nearly 42 years of marriage. She graduated from Cedar Crest College in 1996 with a Bachelors Degree in Education, and spent the following years as an educator in different capacities throughout the Lehigh Valley. One of Camillas hobbies was distance running, and she was extremely proud of training for, and competing in, a half-marathon while in her forties. Camilla was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Coopersburg, PA. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always there to support them in their activities and endeavors. Camilla was predeceased by her father, Richard. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard S. Philippi Jr., her 3 daughters; Eleyna Bernhard of Emmaus, PA and her husband, Eric; Megan Lang of Kunkletown, PA and her husband, Dustin; and Rebekah Warmkessel of Pottsville, PA and her husband, Jeremy; and 7 grandchildren; Joshua Lichty, Andrew Lichty, Emme Lang, Nathaniel Bernhard, Gemma Bernhard, Madeleine Bernhard, and Nicolette Warmkessel. Camilla is also survived by her mother, her mother-in-law, 3 sisters, a sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9-10am on Friday August 27, 2021 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Coopersburg, PA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am.
