Camilla Leona Ryan

Camilla L. Harikal Ryan, 83, of Bethlehem Township, PA died Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem, PA.

Born November 25, 1925 in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of Leona M. Dowgiallo and Stephen J. Harikal. She was married for 52 years to the late James J. Ryan.

Camilla graduated as a Registered Nurse from Mercy Hospital in Wilkes Barre, PA. She worked for St. Agnes Hospital in White Plains, NY, St. Joseph's Hospital and Smith House Nursing home both in Stamford, Ct. retiring in 1974. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem Township. Camilla was an avid Bingo player and loved gardening.

Camilla will be lovingly remembered by her son, James S. Ryan, daughter Patricia wife of Joel Derk, brother, Stephen J. Harikal, Jr. and wife Ann. She is also survived by 3 granddaughters, Megan, Andrea and Kelly and one great granddaughter, Evelyn.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020 from 10:30-11:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home, Inc.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
