Carissa A. Madouse

February 13, 2001 — May 27, 2022

Carissa A. MaDouse, 21, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 27, 2022.

Born on February 13, 2001, in Matthews, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Beth-Ann Ardinger and Jeffrey MaDouse.

Carissa had a beautiful soul who was taken from us too soon. She was so loving and caring to others. She had a smile that lit up the room and loved to laugh with the most amazing giggle. She loved going to the mountains, especially to Chimney Rock where she enjoyed climbing the rocks, shopping in the shops and gem mining. She had a special spirit and magical interest in gems and a dream to open her own gem shop in the future. Carissa also had a passion for the beach, where she felt she could feel free and run. She loved to search for shark teeth.

She loved to spend time putting on makeup, doing face masks, and taking baths. She loved dressing up and getting her photos taken.

She loved listening to all different kinds of music, especially old rock music to which she knew all the words and would just sing along, no matter what was playing.

Carissa was in honors and gifted classes and was accepted and attended an arts and technology school where she studied computers. She played soccer from age four through her sophomore year in high school. She also spent some time doing power lifting and loved doing yoga.

She loved art and drawing. She was a huge animal lover, having a special connection with any animals she encountered, especially our animals.

Carissa loved her family and friends. She was taken too young from us. She was loved so deeply by so many and will be truly missed. Fly high sweet angel--we will be looking for signs of you watching over us. Until we meet again!

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joseph Carraghan.

Carissa will be lovingly remembered by her mother: Beth-Ann Ardinger and her spouse, Brian, of Coopersburg, PA; her father: Jeffrey MaDouse of Charlotte, NC; her maternal grandmother: Elaine Carraghan; two uncles: Joseph Carraghan and his wife, Pat; and Michael Carraghan; one aunt: Colleen Knauss and her husband, Bruce; her great-uncle: Thomas Barnak and his wife, Joanne; as well as several cousins.

A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 11:00am until the time of the memorial service, in the funeral home, at 12:00 noon.

Interment will be in Green Meadow Natural Burial Ground, Fountain Hill, PA.
