Carlos A. Sousa

Carlos A. Sousa, 73, of Bethlehem Township, passed Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill. Born January 20, 1945 in Murtosa, Portugal he was the son of the late Benvinda (Tavares) and Armando Sousa. He was married to Natalia (Rebelo) Sousa with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage this past December.

Carlos was a construction worker for several companies throughout the area. He was the former owner of Caseys Seafood. Carlos was a member of the Portuguese American Club in Bethlehem. He could often be found tending to his yard or building his matchstick boats.

Carlos will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Natalia, sons, Carlos M. Sousa, John M. Sousa, and Jorge F. Sousa and wife Sheri, sister, Cecilia Pinheiro, brothers, Antonio and Armando Sousa and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Manuel J. Sousa.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 7-9 PM and again on Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by a service at 9:30 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Carlos name to St. Judes Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
