Carmen A. Mutarelli

Carmen A. Mutarelli, 88, of Bethlehem, passed away March 30, 2018. He was the son of the late Vittoria (Martucci) and Antonio Mutarelli. He was the loving husband of Gloria J. (Aitken) Mutarelli.

Carmen worked at the Bethlehem Steel for 32 years, retiring in 1985 as chief sales clerk. After retiring, he worked for enjoyment at Green Pond Country Club as a starter on the golf course until last year. After graduating from Liberty High School, Carmen proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 313, and past President and Secretary of the Northwest Bethlehem Lions Club. He coached Northwest Little League for many years, enjoyed bowling in various leagues and watching the Yankees and Eagles. Carmen was a proud Italian who loved to dance, sing, tell stories and attend his grandchildrens activities. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Gloria Mutarelli; children, Vittoria Kemp (Marshall), Richard Mutarelli (Kim) and Patricia Recchio (Steven); brother, Louis D. Mutarelli; grandchildren, Matthew (Kristin) and Nicole Kemp, Richard A. Mutarelli, Jr (Melissa), Alison, Nikki and Kelli Kovacs and Stefanie, Rebekah and Steven A. Recchio and great grandchildren, Nolan and Colin Mutarelli. Carmen was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Donchetz, Josephine Diehl and Lucy Kail.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 10-11 A.M. at Notre Dame Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 A.M. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
