Carmen Vega Torres, 80, of Allentown, PA, passed away on Wednesday October 2, 2024, at Jewel Healthcare in Allentown, PA. She was born in Villalba, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Felipe and Maria (Torres) Vega. She was the wife of the late Doel Alvarado. Carmen was a cafeteria worker in a rehabilitation facility and a seamstress making school uniforms for children. She loved working in her garden, crocheting, and was always singing romantic ballads around the house. She was very devoted to her family and proud to have her parents live with her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Migdoel Alvarado and wife Irma, Felipe Alvarado and wife Beatriz, and Benjamin Alvarado and wife Vanessa, daughter, Maria Colon and husband Dr. Carlos Colon, brother, Raymond Vega and wife Carmen, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Yolanda Alvarado.
Services will be held in Puerto Rico at a later date.
