Carol Joan Phillips

Carol Joan Phillips, 62, of Bethlehem died on Friday, October 3, 2008 at St. Lukes Hospital. She was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of Kathryn Clemens Szedlock of Bethlehem and the late John Szedlock. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Donald K. Phillips Sr. She retired in 2005 from the former Synthetic Thread, Bethlehem. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family, especially Sunday dinners. Survivors: Carol will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Donald K. Phillips, Jr. and his wife Jodi of Bethlehem; Patrick Phillips and his wife Michelle of Hellertown and Chris Phillips and his wife Michele of Bethlehem; six grandchildren, Harlee, Jarred, Paige, Jonathan, Zachary and Jordan as well as her brother, John Szedlock of Bethlehem. Carol was predeceased by her daughter Kathleen. Services: The family will receive friends on Monday October 13, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem. A service to celebrate Carols life will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
