Carolina A. Silva

Carolina A. Silva, 92, of Hellertown, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2019. Born in Santa Luzia, Veiros, Estarreja, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Ilidio and Carolina (Matoso) de Almeida. She was the wife of the late Ildefonso Silva who died in 1977.

She worked as a Seamstress and retired from the A.G. Baba Company; she was a member of the ILGWU. She relished time with family and traveled back to Portugal as often as she could. Carolina had a passion for gardening and especially loved her flowers. She was a parishioner of Holy Infancy Catholic Church.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Olinda S. Hetrick and husband Robert of Bethlehem and her grandson, Michael S. Hetrick of Chicago, IL.

A viewing hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19 in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Infancy Church, 312 E 4th St, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
