Catherine F. Mies

Catherine F. “Fran” Mies, 80, of Bethlehem, passed away on May 5, 2023, at Hospice Home at High Point in High Point, North Carolina.

Born on May 9, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Catherine (Coyle) and Francis A. Dwyer.

Catherine was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church, and previously of Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church, for many years. She enjoyed trying new recipes, volunteering and spending time with her many friends.

She will be dearly missed by her three children, John F. Mies and his wife, Wendy, of Greensboro, NC, Kathleen Stamm and her husband, James, of Reading, PA, and Michael Mies, of Allentown, PA; sister, MaryAnn Fenerty and her husband, Francis; brother, Thomas Dwyer and his wife, Nancy; and four grandchildren, Kyle Kitzhoffer, Shawn Kitzhoffer, John E. “Jack” Mies, and Robert F. “Rob” Mies.

In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her loving husband, John L. “Jack” Mies who passed away in 2016.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 10-10:50 a.m. at St. Annes Church, 450 E. Washington Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18017 with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Pl Ste 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
