Catherine M Hallahan

Catherine M. Glagola Hallahan, 91 of Bethlehem died Tuesday Jan. 13th at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill, Pa.

She and her husband Nicholas Hallahan, who died in 2007, were married for 64 years.

Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Zelaski Glagola.

She was a 1935 Graduate of Liberty High School and an avid fan of the Hurricane Football team.

She worked for 10 years for the former BaBa Manufactures in South Bethlehem as a floor person.

Catherine truly enjoyed being THE Homemaker for her husband, children and grandchildren.

She was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Catholic Church, Bethlehem and the former Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

Catherine had been a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and the Slovak Gymnastic Union.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters; Nancy wife of Goncalo "Sal" Tavares of Yardley, Pa. and Catherine wife of William McGettigan of King of Prussia, Pa., her brother Edward Glagola of Bethlehem and her five grandchildren: Scott Tavares, Stacey Considine, William S., Jennifer and Ryan N. McGettigan and her great grandson Logan Nicholas Considine.

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Michael, Joseph, John, Andrew and Robert Glagola and her sisters Mary King and Anne Chrismer.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Connell Funeral Home 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Incarnation of Our Lord Catholic Church 617 Pierce Street Bethlehem, Pa.

Friends may call on 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home
