Catherine O. Weir

Catherine O. Weir, 87 of Chestnut St. Bethlehem, died on Saturday, April 14, 2007 after a long illness at St. Luke?s Hospital in Bethlehem. Catherine was born August 29, 1919 in Bethlehem. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Diehl Weir.

Catherine was a graduate of Moravian College and worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in the laboratory as a lab technician retiring in 1984 after 42 years service. She was a member of Central Moravian Church. Catherine belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 163 where she served as the Worthy Matron. She was a member of the Allentown White Shrine, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Calypso Chapter, and the Dorothy Lim Memorial Court 110 Order of the Amaranth. She loved to garden and go out to eat at restaurants in the Lehigh Valley area.

Catherine is survived by her close friends Frank and Anna Bedic of Allentown and her friends from the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 163.

Catherine is predeceased by her parents, a sister Mary E. Weir who died in 1992 and an infant baby sister.

Friends may call on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 11: 00 AM at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem. Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Nisky Hill Cemetery.
