Catherine R. Fartun-Prestosh

April 17, 1923 — May 7, 2009

Catherine R. Fartun-Prestosh, 86, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Old Orchard Manor Care Health Services in Easton. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Turk Keschl. She was the wife of the late Charles Prestosh who died in 1986. She was also predeceased by her first husband, William Fartun in 1970.

Catherine worked as a sewing machine operator in the former Laros Silkmill. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church of Bethlehem, where she was in the choir, The Holy Rosary Society, and the 55+ club.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Diana C. Krotzer, and Rita A. Subjin, wife of William N. Subjin all of Bethlehem; sisters, Mary Schwartz, Theresa Hacker, Hilda Weber and Stella Augustine; grandchildren, William J. Kratzer and his wife, Tammy, of Bath, Michael A. Subjin & his wife, Erin, David W. Subjin and wife Carley Simon, of Bethlehem, and Janet L. DiTullio and her husband, Carlo M. DiTullio of Coatesville. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine M. Fartun in 2004, brothers, Peter, Louis, & Stephen Keschl and three sisters, Rose Kiss, Agnes Yost & Emma Siegfred.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anne's Catholic Church.
