Catherine Schenck

Catherine Kiss Schenck, 90, life-long resident of Bethlehem, died Friday, September 26, 2008 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. Born, August 25, 1918, in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Kaszlik Kiss. She was the loving wife of the late Charles B. Schenck, Jr., with whom she shared a special fondness for travel.

Catherine was a graduate of Liberty High School and Moravian College. She worked at the Bethlehem Steel Co. and later as a substitute teacher for the Bethlehem Area School District. She also volunteered at Holy Family Manor for over 20 years and resided in the Grace Mansion Assisted Living at the Manor for the past 10 years.

Catherine will be lovingly remembered by her son, Charles "Skip" Schenck and wife Jessica; daughter, Patricia Grannatt and husband Milton; grandchildren, Theodore Grannatt and wife Kathryn, Robert Grannatt, Erin Sanfeliz and husband Adam, Courtney Lewis and husband Jason, Justin Schenck and wife Ericka, and Hannah Schenck; great grandchildren; Natalie and Vincent Schenck.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Catherine's name, may be made to Grace Mansion Assisted Living at Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
