Catherine Teresa Lisowski

Catherine Teresa “Kitty” Lisowski, 94, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, December 5, 2013. She was born February 13, 1919 in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Ortwein) Keller. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Andrew W. Lisowski.

Catherine had her cosmetology license for over 70 years. She owned and operated Catherines Beauty Salon in the 1960s and 1970s and later retired from her sister Tesss shop, Vogue. She also owned and operated Saucona Hotel with her husband and her parents. Catherine was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, where she was the first president of the Holy Ghost Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the senior citizens club. She was also a member of the seniors club at Ss Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Catherine was a member of the St. Bernards R. C. Beneficial Society Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered her time at Southside Ministries.

Catherine will be dearly missed by her daughter, Mary Theresa C. Miller and her husband, Dennis K. of Kutztown; her grandchildren, Keith Miller and his wife, Michelle Martin Miller and Dr. Tressa C. Aulenbach and her husband, Kyle Aulenbach as well as her great granddaughters, Kasandra and Katryna and her niece and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Teresa Mies Waters and Rose Figlear Abbot and her brother, Francis Keller.

A visitation will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18015 on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 9-10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 10 AM. Interment will be held at Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Marys Church c/o Monsignor Walter Scheaffer 14833 Kutztown Rd. Kutztown, PA 19530.
