Catherine Zuk

Catherine Zuk, of Fountain Hill, passed away November 11, 2010 of cancer. She died in her home surrounded by her husband and three children. She was born in the year 1945, daughter of Manuel DeLeon and Emma Conway. Catherine was a 1963 graduate of Liberty High School, received her Bachelor of Arts from East Stroudsburg University and Masters of Social Work from Marywood College. For the past forty years, she has been happily married to John J. Zuk.

She was a longtime board member of Sayre Day Care, Lehigh Valley Board of Transportation, and active in the Northampton County Help Line. Private Industry Council PIC employed her, where she was a director.

She was a loving and generous mother, role model to many, touching and changing the lives of her friends, co-workers and extended family members. In Passing, may she be wrapped in the loving arms of the Lord. May her spirit be at peace.

She is survived by her husband and three children: son, Joseph Zuk of Bethlehem; son, John J. and Collette Zuk of Center Valley, and daughter, Christine and Tim Rice of Jacksonville, NC. Her nine grandchildren whom she loved and adored also survive her: Evan, Tyler, Justin, Avery, Kendall, Timothy, Jeremy, Brady, and Pacey. Other survivors include sister, Mary Lawler of Bethlehem; brothers, Manuel DeLeon of Bethlehem; and William DeLeon of Long Island, NY.
