Cecelia Ann Bedics

Cecelia Ann Talian Bedics, 69, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Bryn Mawr Terrace in Bryn Mawr, PA.

She was born March 10, 1942 in Bethlehem; the daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Szecsody Talian.

Cecelia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years; John R. Bedics.

She was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School and St. Luke's Nursing School. She retired from Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill Annex after 35 years of service as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Cecelia was a parishioner of the University Parish of Holy Ghost in Bethlehem, where she was very active.

She was dedicated to her family and will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters; Lisa, wife of Thomas Haflett of Trappe, PA. and Carol, wife of Ben Preston of Wayne, PA; her sisters, Mary Ann Dorazio of Gwynedd Valley, PA and Elizabeth Talian of Brookfield, CT; brothers, Stephen of Harrisburg; John of Summit, NJ and Frank of East Allen Twp. She will also be dearly missed by her granddaughters Allison and Lauren; grandson, Benjamin as well as numerous members of her extended family.

Cecelia was also predeceased by her brother Joseph.

"Ceal" enjoyed watching Lehigh University sports and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching movies, and planning family reunions.

Cecelia's family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 7-9 PM at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 and again on Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM in the University Parish of Holy Ghost 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18015.

Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church and/or the Alzheimer's Assoc. 617 Main St, # A, Hellertown, PA 18055.
