Cesira Desentis

Cesira "Jessie" Anfiteatro-DeSentis, 85 of Bethlehem died on Sunday August 22, 2010 at Cedarbrook Fountain Hill, PA. She was born February 2, 1925 in San Leucio del Sannio, Benevento, Italy, daughter of the late Antonio Anfiteatro and Maria Izzo. She was the wife of Julius P. DeSentis, who passed away in 2003.

Cesira Anfiteatro and her son Mario came to America in August of 1956 and she went to work at Phoenix clothes in Allentown, where she was a presser for 11 years. She then worked in several laundries and lastly in Environmental Services where she retired in 1975. "Jessie's" favorite hobby was cooking for other people, who loved her hoagies, and steak sandwiches with her secret sauce.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Mario Anfiteatro and wife Deborah Simmers of Bethlehem, grandson, Anthony Anfiteatro and wife Alicia Pallero, and three great grandchildren, Stephanie, Adrian, and Elliahs. She was awaiting the birth of her fourth in October, to be named Isabella Cesira.
