Charles A. Gubish, Jr.

October 31, 1940 — August 16, 2021

Charles A. Gubish Jr., 80, of Bethlehem was called home on Monday, August 16, 2021, at his residence with his immediate family by his side after a very lengthy battle with prostate cancer. Born on October 31, 1940, in Hellertown, PA, he was the loyal son of Charles L. Gubish Sr. and the late Ethel (Donchez) Gubish. Charlie was the loving and faithful husband of Judith (Frederick) Gubish, celebrating 62 years of marriage this past March.

A dedicated and committed family man, Charlie is survived by his father Charles L. Gubish, Sr. (Bethlehem), wife Judith of Bethlehem, brother Richard (Charlotte), daughters Debbie Wykosky (Jeffrey), Roxanne Fox, and Michele (Amy), 4 nieces and nephews, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and his adored Sheltie, Gunny.

Charlie was employed by Modern Slack Creations and Lucent/Agere as well as many part-time jobs throughout the years. He was a kind, self-less, and hardworking father who provided for his family and always put their needs before his own.

Charlie enjoyed the simpler things in life such as his love of dogs, 50s music, classic cars, time with his family, cooking on the grill, and reminiscing about his years growing up on the farm.

Charlie will be lovingly remembered by his wife and family as a courageous man who battled with cancer for over 20 years, trying every new therapy or drug until he could fight no more. Daddy, we love you deeply and you will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed.

At Charlies wishes, arrangements will be private under the care of the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., Bethlehem. Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Charlie was grateful for all that the Cancer Support Community has done for his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Cancer Support Community, Greater Lehigh Valley, 944 Marcon Blvd., Suite 110, Allentown, PA 18109, www.cancersupportglv.org.
