Charles "Chilla" F. Bedics, 85, of Bethlehem died Sunday December 27, 2009 at Alexandria Manor in Bethlehem. He was born on March 5, 1924 in Bethlehem son of the late Joseph and Anna KurucBedics. He was the husband of the late Mary A. Cengeri Bedics.
Charlie was a truck driver for Ross Common for 34 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord's Parish. He served his country in the US Army during WWII in the European Theater. Charlie was a member of the Catholic Sokols, Italian American Club, Bethlehem Southside Booster Club, and campaigned for many politicians and volunteered at the polls.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, John D. Bedics and wife Karen of Coopersburg, and Greg Bedics and wife Renee of Allentown, daughters, Charlotte Moser wife of Robert of Palmer Twp., and Diane J. Casciani wife of Mark of Bethlehem, brother, Francis Bedics of Bethlehem and sister, Ethel Fertal of Bethlehem, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held 9:30AM Wednesday December 30, 2009 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10AM at Incarnation of Our Lord's Parish 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. Calling hour will be held 8:30-9:30AM Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Burial will held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
