Charles F. Domyan

September 5, 1949 — November 29, 2015

Charles Frank Domyan, 66, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, November 29, 2015 with his children by his side and in the loving embrace of his devoted wife. He was born September 5, 1949; son of the late Charles and Alice (Schwartz) Domyan.

Charles was a graduate of Liberty High School, where he met the love of his life and wife of 47 years, Constance J. (Fischl) Domyan. He was later drafted into the U.S. Army, proudly serving with the 75th Airborne Ranger Regiment in Korea. He worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 30 years. Upon his retirement in 1999; Charles worked for Sobrinski Painting until earlier this year when he was no longer able. Charles enjoyed golfing, playing tennis and attending Bethlehem Catholic High School sporting events, especially when he was working the chains at football games. His greatest joy came from being with his family, especially his granddaughters. “Poppy” would do anything his granddaughters asked him to do and he affectionately became known as “The Toy”. Charles did not miss a game or an event and spent countless hours creating memories with his family. Last week, the family took a special journey to his favorite place, the Outer Banks, NC.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Constance; sons, Charles “Chuck” Domyan and his wife, Wendy; and Christopher Domyan and his wife, Meighan all of Bethlehem; granddaughters, Anna, Chloe, Elizabeth, Grace, Camille and Amanda; his sister, Alice Fenstemaker of Allentown and cousins Suchi and Roseann Amano and their son Shin of Bethlehem.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Connell Funeral Home. The family will receive guests on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. at Christophers home, 729 Redfern Ln. Bethlehem, PA 18017 where all are welcome to gather for a celebration of Charless life.
