Charles H. Gawlick, 86, of Whitehall, formerly of Shady Acres, Cheektowaga, NY passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was born in Wilkes-Barre on May 22, 1938 to the late Leon and Mary (Drugotch) Gawlick. Charles worked as a dedicated truck driver for American Brass, Buffalo, NY for many years until retiring. Charles was not only known for his professional life but also for his passion for collecting mermaids, a unique hobby that brought joy and whimsy to his family and friends. He will be remembered as a kind soul who had a passion for wildlife and nature, finding solace among the beauty of the outdoors.
Survivors: son: Christopher Gawlick of Buffalo, NY; sister: Carol Gawlick of Wilkes-Barre; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings: David, Leon, Norman and Mary Posukonis.
Service: A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Friday, May 2, 2025 at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Pringle, PA. The funeral procession will form at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 321 Chestnut Avenue, Kingston, PA at 10:45am. Condolences may be offered online at www.connellfuneral.com
