Charles Hennessey, 98, of Allentown passed away Friday February 24, 2012 at Fellowship Community in Whitehall, Pa. He was born on January 28, 1914 in Slatington, son of the late George and Mary Bodak Hennessey. He was the husband of the late Catherine Burian Hennessey who died in 1999.
Charles worked in the beam yards for Bethlehem Steel for 36 years retiring in 1976. He was a member of the USWU Local 2599.
He will be lovingly remembered by his grandson, Joseph Holzer III and wife Tina of Mont Clare, Pa., great grandchildren, William Holzer, Shanna Cully, and Amber McDermott, and great great grandchildren, Charlie, Lucy and Kenny.
He was predeceased by brothers, George and John, and sister, Mary Wiley.
Graveside services will be held 10AM Wednesday February 29, 2012 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park Airport Rd. Allentown, Pa.
