Charles J. Gestl

Charles J. Gestl died on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Gracedale Nursing Home. He was 90 years old. Charlie was born March 18, 1923 in Allentown; son of the late Rudolph and Frances (Stubits) Gestl.

He will be dearly missed by his brothers, Rudolph of Cabot, PA; Herman of Point Phillips; Herbert of Charles Town, WV; and Ernest, Raymond and Russell all of Bethlehem; his sister, Laurie Schwenk of Texas and 30 nieces and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Hertzog and Isabelle Derr and brother, Frederick Gestl.

A Visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gracedale Nursing Home, 2 Gracedale Ave. Nazareth, PA 18064.
