Charles J. Mccreary

Charles McCreary, 92, formerly of Willow Grove, died on Sunday, December 8, 2013, in Bethlehem, PA. Born in Glenside, PA; he was the son of the late Walter L. & Verna (Jackson) McCreary. He was the loving husband of the late Rose Fallon-McCreary who died in 2012.

He was employed by the Alexander Tag Co. as a sheet metal worker, retiring in 1987. He proudly served in the Army during WWII with the 13th Armored Division. He was a POW and a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his step son, James & wife Anne; step daughter, Gayle; a brother, Thomas and 3 foster children; Butch, Dennis & Joseph. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Anne; and 2 sisters.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
